The use of GPS Tracking system by Konsortium Bas Ekspres Semenanjung

‘LIVE’ tracking of buses will enable the management of KBES to achieve its objective of SAFETY FIRST



  • Exceeding speed limit
  • Installed sensor will be activated when speed of the bus has exceeded the preset limit.
  • Information about the bus and driver will be sent to GAM and company’s control centre.
  • Stoppage at non permitted area.
  • Ensure that bus will not be stopped in non-permitted area.
  • Non permitted routes
  • Ensure that bus will not follow routes that are not permitted.
  • Emergency button
  • Bus is fitted with emergency button which may be useful in the event of emergency situation.
  • Abrupt change of speed
  • The use of electronic gadget will help to detect abrupt change of vehicle speed.
  • A speed profile that is being generated every second before and after the abrupt change of speed will enable the driving habit of drivers being monitored closely.

GPS Tracking system
  • "Live" tracking on the speed of the buses.
  • Status of bus will be transmitted and updated every 5 minutes to the operation centre.
  • Latest information on the location of buses.
  • Warning / Reminder to driver exceeding the allowed speed limit.
  • Information tracked - journey, bus status , overspeed driving, destination or route of bus, locations of bus stop along the journey ,etc.
  • Fuel consumption monitoring.
  • Information on the abrupt change of speed.
